Florida State continues recruiting effort for committed running back Marquis Fennell

Florida State is maintaining recruitment efforts for running back Marquis Fennell despite his commitment to Stanford. The Seminoles previously held a significant lead in his recruitment before he pledged to the Cardinal in June. Fennell remains a target due to his versatility as a dual-threat player who recorded 1,480 rushing yards and 764 receiving yards during his junior season. In his first two senior games, he has accumulated 150 rushing yards and 233 receiving yards with five total touchdowns. Florida State currently has Jayden Miles committed at the running back position for the 2027 class. Although a planned visit to Florida State for the season opener did not materialize, the coaching staff intends to add Fennell to their list of future campus visitors.
