Diagnosed with a tumor related to Neurofibromatosis type 2, Dye requested to coach one final game before the procedure. Although Corinth lost 49-21, Dye's focus on his team remained firm. He had initially been unaware of the severity of his condition until an MRI revealed the tumor, which has necessitated additional medical follow-ups after his surgery on September 28.
