Former Orioles players help lead the Tampa Bay Rays roster

The Tampa Bay Rays have integrated four former Baltimore Orioles players into their active roster during the 2026 season. Bryan Baker, Cedric Mullins, Tyler Wells, and Jorge Mateo are currently contributing to the club's efforts to secure a division title. Baker, who joined the Rays at the 2025 trade deadline, leads the major leagues with 39 saves through September 6. Mullins and Mateo were recently acquired to strengthen the team, while Wells rejoined his former teammates following a mid-season trade from Baltimore. The group previously competed together in the American League East, most during the 2023 season. These players have transitioned into key clubhouse roles as the organization seeks to win its fifth division title.
