Former Vanderbilt forward Jalen Washington commits to Tennessee basketball

Jalen Washington, a former Vanderbilt power forward, has committed to the Tennessee basketball program, as announced on August 3, 2026. After entering the NCAA transfer portal in April, he was granted an injunction allowing him to compete in the 2026-27 season. Washington, who previously played at North Carolina, averaged 5.7 points and 4.2 rebounds in his last season at Vanderbilt. He joins nine other transfers in Tennessee's incoming class and contributes to the Vols' active recruiting efforts.
