Freddie Slater secures F3 pole position at Monza qualifying session

Freddie Slater earned pole position for the Formula 3 feature race at Monza on Thursday. Driving for TRIDENT, Slater recorded a lap time of 1m 38.114s during the Group B session to take the lead. His teammate Matteo De Palo will start on the front row after finishing only 0.029s slower in the Group A session. Title rival Ugo Ugochukwu experienced a difficult session, finishing 10th in his group after a mistake at Turn 1, placing him at the back of the grid for the upcoming races. Nicola Lacorte qualified third, with Kanato Le taking the fourth starting position. Tuukka Taponen is set to start from pole in the reverse-grid Sprint Race scheduled for Friday morning at 0930 local time.
