Frederick Keys exit playoffs after loss to Greensboro Grasshoppers

The Frederick Keys saw their season conclude on September 12 following a 7-5 loss to the Greensboro Grasshoppers in the final game of their North Division Series. Despite holding a 5-4 lead into the seventh inning, the Keys allowed three runs to cross the plate as the Grasshoppers secured the series victory. Elsewhere in the Orioles minor league system, the Norfolk Tides notched a 5-3 win over the Memphis Redbirds behind a late-game offensive surge and three scoreless innings from the bullpen. Jud Fabian hit a home run for Norfolk, and Jake Dykhoff delivered two scoreless frames in his Triple-A debut. Meanwhile, the Chesapeake Baysox fell 1-0 to the Richmond Flying Squirrels despite a strong five-inning effort from starter JT Quinn. The Baysox were limited to four hits in the defeat.
