FSU loses four-star linebacker Gregory Batson from 2027 class

Florida State has lost its fourth commitment for the 2027 recruiting class, as four-star linebacker Gregory Batson decommitted on June 10, 2026. Batson, from Leesburg, Georgia, had committed to FSU in November and recently made an official visit to the campus. He is set to visit Mississippi State this weekend. Since May 31, three of the four decommitted players have been blue-chip prospects, contributing to FSU's drop in recruiting rankings, now outside the top 50. Despite the setbacks, FSU has added four new commitments recently, including three four-star prospects, bringing their total to nine for the class.
