Los Angeles Chargers sign undrafted free agent Jahmeer Carter

Defensive tackle Jahmeer Carter, an undrafted free agent from Virginia, has signed with the Los Angeles Chargers. Carter, who is 6’2” and weighs 311 pounds, had a solid college career, starting 34 games over three seasons and notching 97 total tackles. However, he enters a crowded defensive tackle room after the Chargers added several players, including draft pick Nick Barrett and veteran Dalvin Tomlinson. Given the competition, Carter may face challenges securing a place on the final roster or practice squad this season.
