Florida State wide receiver Devin Carter has been named one of college football's top newcomers by ESPN. A key recruit out of Douglasville, Georgia, Carter is a four-star prospect and the son of former FSU player Dexter Carter. He recorded significant stats in high school, including 41 receptions for 670 yards and five touchdowns as a junior, and 26 receptions for 431 yards and another five scores as a senior. FSU head coach Mike Norvell expects him to significantly contribute alongside other recruits this fall as part of a strong receiving class.
