Giant bison statues greet fans at Bills' new Highmark Stadium

Buffalo Bills fans arriving for the first regular-season game at Highmark Stadium on Thursday night will encounter a family of bison statues outside the venue. These towering sculptures, created by artist Blessing Hancock, were installed this summer to symbolize the strength and unity of the Bills community, known as Bills Mafia. The bull stands 27 feet tall, while the cow and calf measure 22 and 12 feet respectively. The statues feature programmable lighting and even emit vapor to simulate breathing. This marks the first time a full crowd will witness the installation since the stadium’s opening in June.
