Giants sign Ugochukwu Amadi and Sam Webb to bolster secondary

The New York Giants announced on Thursday the signing of defensive backs Ugochukwu Amadi and Sam Webb. Amadi has spent the past three seasons with the Saints, participating in 35 games. In 2025, he played seven games focused mainly on special teams. Sam Webb joined the Giants after appearing in seven games with the Browns in 2025, where he recorded eight tackles, one pass defensed, and one fumble recovery. To make room for the new signings, the Giants released defensive back David Long and waived DJ James with an injury designation.
