Giants unlikely to play Marcus Mbow at center this season

The New York Giants are facing injury issues at the center position with John Michael Schmitz out due to a concussion and Lucas Patrick limited by a knee injury. Currently, Bryan Hudson and Jake Kubas are available to play center, along with newcomer Brenden Jaimes. Despite speculation regarding Marcus Mbow’s versatility, he is not expected to see time at center this season, having primarily played tackle. Offensive line coach Mike Bloomgren mentioned Mbow was briefly evaluated at center during spring practices but is more comfortable at tackle. Schmitz is expected to return soon, which may alleviate the Giants' need for Mbow to step in.
