Golden State Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg prepares for first NBA season

Yaxel Lendeborg enters his rookie season with the Golden State Warriors after being selected 11th overall in the 2026 NBA draft. A former University of Michigan forward, Lendeborg earned Big Ten Player of the Year honors and led his team to a national title. He continued his strong play in the Las Vegas Summer League, where he was named tournament MVP after securing a title for the Warriors against the Memphis Grizzlies. Before arriving in the NBA, Lendeborg established his collegiate career at Western Arizona College and UAB. The 23-year-old is expected to compete for significant playing time during the upcoming training camp as he integrates into the Warriors' rotation.
