Grêmio reaches transfer budget target with Viery sale to Fiorentina

Grêmio has met its budget revenue target for the 2026 season, mainly due to the sale of center-back Viery to Fiorentina. The transfer, valued at €15 million, has helped raise Grêmio's total revenue from player sales to R$ 144.6 million. Earlier in the year, the club had already recorded R$ 56.2 million in sales, with the notable transfer of Alysson to Aston Villa. While the financial target has been achieved, Grêmio plans to continue restructuring its finances and is open to negotiating further player departures. The club also confirmed the signing of center-back Wallace.
