Gui Negão of Corinthians remains sidelined under coach Diniz

Corinthians forward Gui Negão has yet to appear in matches since coach Fernando Diniz took charge. The 19-year-old has been out due to an injury sustained at a Brazil U-20 training session in March, which kept him off the field for over a month. Since returning to the squad, he has been benched for nine matches, as Diniz cited timing and familiarity with other players in his selection. Despite positive feedback from Diniz regarding Negão's training efforts, the competition for forward positions remains high. Corinthians are currently on break until June 25 and will return to play on July 12 against Cascavel.
