Former Rangers midfielder Andy Halliday recalled manager Pedro Caixinha's initial team meeting in 2017. Instead of discussing tactics or objectives, Caixinha showed players a picture of his house in Qatar and stated he left it to coach them. Halliday reflected that this unique approach left the squad feeling unmotivated from the start. Caixinha's brief tenure ended later that year after struggling with seven defeats in 26 games.

"Recently retired former Hearts, Motherwell and Rangers midfielder Andy Halliday played under his fair share of managers. "Quite often you'll just talk about your non-negotiables, you'll talk about the club culture, what you want to bring to the group, whether it's a fine system, it's your style of play, your system," Halliday told the BBC's Scottish Football Podcast.
