Harlem scores 55-14 win over Belvidere North in season opener

Harlem opened its football season with a dominant 55-14 victory against Belvidere North on August 22 in Machesney Park. Star quarterback Braxton Fausett completed six of ten passes for 80 yards and two touchdowns while adding 67 rushing yards and another touchdown. Jackson Cook contributed with a 75-yard punt return for a touchdown, showcasing Harlem's offensive depth. The game was delayed over an hour due to lightning, but Harlem quickly established control, leading 28-7 at halftime. Belvidere’s Zavian McElroy rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown in the loss.
