Harry Maguire to join Gary Lineker on 'The Rest is Football' show

Summary

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has been left out of Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup. Despite his absence, Maguire will participate in the tournament as a guest on Gary Lineker’s show 'The Rest is Football.' Lineker revealed that the agreement was made during a time when Maguire was struggling at United, and he included a clause in the contract allowing for cancellation if he was selected for the World Cup. Lineker expressed disappointment over Maguire’s omission from the squad, citing his experience and previous contributions to the national team. Maguire's contract extension with United, signed in April, reflects the club's faith in his abilities.
