Hawaii Hilo volleyball sweeps two Saturday matches in Hawaii Challenge

The Hawaii Hilo women’s volleyball team claimed two victories Saturday during the Hawaii Challenge at McCabe Gym. The Vulcans first overcame Saint Martin’s in four sets with scores of 25-17, 21-25, 25-23, 25-12, fueled by 16 kills from Chase Koepke. The team continued its success later in the day by sweeping Western Colorado in three sets, 25-16, 25-20, 25-18, led by 15 kills from Logan Blutreich. These results bring the Vulcans’ season record to 8-3. Elsewhere in the tournament, Seattle Pacific secured a three-set win over Hawaii Pacific at St. Francis’ Shark Tank. Additionally, Chaminade registered a four-set victory against Western Oregon at McCabe Gym behind 19 kills from Lillie Hinton.
