Hawks eye Jalen Duren as free agency approaches next summer

The Atlanta Hawks are considering waiting until next summer to pursue Jalen Duren, a restricted free agent currently with the Detroit Pistons. Duren must decide by tomorrow if he will accept a $9.6 million qualifying offer, which would make him an unrestricted free agent next summer. If he signs the qualifying offer, it could allow Atlanta to make a significant move for him with over $50 million in cap space. The Hawks believe Duren's rebounding ability could make him a valuable addition to their roster, complementing existing talent. Atlanta is ready to make roster changes to fit Duren's skills, with new players indicating a strong desire to improve after last season.
