Hawthorne football dominates Williston in district opener without Roundtree

Hawthorne football showcased its dominance by defeating Williston 37-0 in their first district game of the season at Annie Mae Phillips Stadium on September 25, 2026. Despite the absence of Richard Roundtree, the Hornets improved their season record to 6-0, while Williston fell to 1-3 under new head coach Cedderick Daniels. After a scoreless first quarter, Hawthorne exploded in the second, with Dakarai Wiggins scoring two touchdowns and Maverick Jones adding a highlight-reel touchdown grab.
