Hayden Mullins appointed Newport County manager ahead of new season

Hayden Mullins has been named the new manager of Newport County, taking over from Chris Todd, who served as interim following Christian Fuchs' departure in late June. Mullins arrives from Fulham's Under-21 squad and is the fourth permanent manager appointed since Huw Jenkins' takeover in January 2024. Newport entered the off-season four points clear of relegation and look to build on Fuchs' success in keeping the club in League Two. Mullins' first match in charge will be a pre-season encounter against Yeovil on Saturday, followed by a match against Roma on August 4 and the Carabao Cup opener at AFC Wimbledon on August 8.
