Heritage football aims for playoff success with stronger offense

Heritage High begins its quest for a fourth consecutive playoff berth when it opens the season on August 21 against Melbourne. After last season's struggles, where they averaged 15.5 points per game and lost in the first playoff round, the team seeks to enhance its offensive performance. Under fourth-year head coach Mykel Benson, Heritage will rely on new quarterback Christian Ryder Borhi, who brings experience and leadership after transferring from Abraham Lincoln in New York. The Panthers aim to improve their discipline and turnover margin while building on a solid defensive foundation led by senior linebacker Anthony Hicks. Their updated district lineup includes Jensen Beach, Legacy, and Sebastian River.
