Hideki Matsuyama holes out from bunker during Tour Championship final round

Hideki Matsuyama recorded a bunker hole-out on the No. 7 hole during the final round of the Tour Championship on Sunday at East Lake Golf Club. As of 1 p.m. ET, the 2021 Masters champion remains in progress, standing at 1 under for the day and 5 under for the tournament. The performance continues a consistent season for Matsuyama, who has finished in the top 15 in six of his last seven starts and has made the cut in all 22 of his tournament appearances this year. Matsuyama is currently playing without his longtime caddie, Shota Hayafuji, who is sidelined with a herniated disk in his neck that causes pain and limited mobility in his right hand. Taiga Tabuchi is serving as the replacement caddie for the remainder of the season, including the upcoming Presidents Cup at Medinah No. 3.
