High school athletes record standout performances across South Central sports

High school athletes across the South Central region posted notable statistics in multiple sports from September 8 to September 12. In girls volleyball, York Suburban’s Maya Williams recorded 18 kills and 14 digs during a 3-1 victory over West York, while Spring Grove’s Avia Fishel added 13 kills in a sweep of Northeastern. Soccer results included a hat trick for Littlestown’s Alex Lua and five goals from Fairfield’s Michael Phelan in a contest against West York. On the cross country course, Jacob Roskovensky of Dallastown set a boys course record of 18:29.20 at Kennard-Dale, and the Dallastown girls quartet of Reagan Durgee, Abigail Evans, Neila Granger, and Leah Navarro set a corresponding girls record at 21:45. Coaches continue to report results to the regional scoreboard as the fall season maintains its schedule across the state.
