Holy Cross football begins the 2026 season with an 0-2 record following consecutive 35-10 losses to Lehigh and Colgate. Coach Dan Curran cited poor red zone execution and tackling as primary areas needing improvement before the upcoming game against Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Quarterback David Lynch threw for 264 yards against Colgate, but the team struggled to establish a run game, averaging 1.9 yards per carry. Meanwhile, former Holy Cross coach Bob Chesney successfully debuted as UCLA coach with a 45-24 win over Cal. UCLA leaned on a strong rushing performance of 277 yards and two fourth-quarter interceptions to pull away from a tied game.
