Indiana football earns top-five ranking in US LBM Coaches Poll

Indiana football moved into the top five of the US LBM Coaches Poll following a 52-16 victory over North Texas. The Hoosiers climbed one spot to No. 5, trailing Ohio State, Georgia, Texas, and Notre Dame. Indiana secured 11 first-place votes in the coaches poll, the second-most behind Ohio State. The team reached the end zone on seven of its eight possessions while limiting North Texas to a single touchdown. Despite the successful start, Indiana faces a midseason absence for running back Khobie Martin. The program also saw similar upward movement in the AP Poll after the season-opening performance in Bloomington.
