Voting has begun for the IndyStar's 2026-27 Girls Basketball Preseason Player of the Year poll. Nominees include standout players such as Ashlee Baker from Franklin Central, who averaged 11 points and 3.9 assists last season, and Chesney Jackson from Charlestown, who scored 21.3 points per game. Other notable nominees are Hilary Labis from Westville and Kenzie Koch from Eastern Hancock. Voting is open until noon EST on Tuesday, and players can be nominated for the Athlete of the Week poll each week starting now.
