International skiers compete at Lake38 tournament in Gadsden County

More than two dozen professional slalom skiers from around the world are gathering in Gadsden County, Florida, for a two-day competition at Lake38. The tournament begins at 9 a.m. on September 12, featuring athletes from the United States, Italy, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Austria, Sweden, and Morocco. Competitors will vie for top positions in their respective divisions to advance to the finals. The 16 finalists will return on September 13 at 1 p.m. to contend for the championship title and a cash prize. Keith and Karen Albrittion, who created the man-made lake in 2012, are hosting the event, which is open to spectators. Admission to the venue is free, and attendees are permitted to bring their own food and beverages.
