Isaiah Marshall leads Kansas football to victory over Long Island

Sophomore quarterback Isaiah Marshall recorded his first career start for Kansas in a 51-6 win over Long Island on Friday. Marshall completed 14 of 19 passes for 246 yards and two touchdowns without committing an interception or taking a sack. He added 49 rushing yards on seven carries to help the Jayhawks offense generate 613 total yards. The game marked his debut as the replacement for Jalon Daniels, who previously held the starting quarterback role. Despite a slow start to the game, the offense scored 24 points in the second quarter to break the contest open. Kansas next prepares to host No. 25 Missouri on September 11 for the Border War.
