Roberts, who has not wrestled since 2018, identified the current WWE talent as his preferred opponent if he were to return to the ring. The proposed matchup centers on the potential confrontation between the veteran and the performer known as the Viper. Orton recently participated in a match against Cody Rhodes at Sunday Night's Main Event, where he earned a victory to even their rivalry at 1-1. This result followed a loss for Orton against Rhodes at WrestleMania 42 earlier this year. Orton continues to pursue a path toward a potential 15th World Championship reign, though no future trilogy match against Rhodes has been scheduled.
