Southampton defender James Bree has signed a new three-year contract, confirming his commitment to the club. Bree has made 74 appearances and scored five goals since joining in 2023. Meanwhile, the club is parting ways with seven players, including Scotland striker Ross Stewart, who scored 11 goals last season and has not had his contract extended. Others leaving include midfielders Oriol Romeu, Will Smallbone, Joe Aribo, and goalkeepers Alex McCarthy and Jamie Jones. Defender Elias Jelert is also returning after his loan from Galatasaray.
