Jared Curtis accidentally takes out coach Jerry Kill during Vanderbilt game

In a matchup against Auburn on September 26, Vanderbilt quarterback Jared Curtis unintentionally knocked over assistant coach Jerry Kill during a first-quarter run play. Curtis had scrambled for a first down but slid out of bounds, colliding with Kill and causing him to fall. Although the play was successful, the drive stalled and ended with a failed fake punt. At halftime, Auburn leads 14-3, with one touchdown coming from a blocked punt. Curtis, making his first SEC start, completed 12 of 16 passes for 105 yards and rushed 11 times for 31 yards but threw an interception on a Hail Mary attempt.
