The Detroit Pistons re-signed veteran forward Javonte Green following a brief stint as an unrestricted free agent this offseason. Green established himself as a key rotational piece during the 2025-26 campaign, serving as the only player on the roster to appear in all 82 regular-season games. While the team added several new wings this summer, including Isaiah Joe, John Collins, Taurean Prince, and Gary Harris, head coach J.B. Bickerstaff is expected to continue relying on Green for his defensive intensity and ability to serve as a reliable connector. Green averaged 6.9 points and 2.8 rebounds over 17.6 minutes per game last season. His versatility allows him to play across multiple positions, providing depth for the team's small-ball lineups. He now joins a crowded wing rotation under Bickerstaff for the upcoming season.
