Jaxson Dart undergoes standard medical evaluation during Giants preseason game

Jaxson Dart, quarterback for the Giants, was evaluated in the blue medical tent after a hit from Vikings safety Jay Ward during a preseason game. NFL chief spokesman Brian McCarthy confirmed the assessment was a standard medical timeout. Factors leading to the check included a significant impact from the hit and Dart's delayed movement after hitting the ground. The evaluation processes involve unaffiliated neurotrauma consultants and independent athletic trainers who assess player safety throughout the game. The decision to send Dart for evaluation reflects a commitment to player protection, especially during preseason matchups.
