JBL and Michael Cole did not know the outcome of WrestleMania 30

WWE Hall of Famer JBL stated that he and fellow commentator Michael Cole were not informed of the finish to The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar match at WrestleMania 30. During a recent episode of the podcast Something to Wrestle, JBL explained that commentators are usually briefed on match outcomes to better narrate the broadcast. However, they were left in the dark for this particular contest, leading Cole to prepare a call reflecting the continuation of The Undertaker's undefeated streak. JBL described the moment as a major surprise to the commentary team. Despite his personal sadness over the end of the streak, the former wrestler maintained that Brock Lesnar was the correct choice to defeat The Undertaker. JBL confirmed that while the information was available if they had asked, the lack of prior knowledge contributed to the impact of the live result.
