JBL comments on WWE's Crown Jewel 2026 in Saudi Arabia amid advisories

WWE Hall of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield discussed the upcoming Crown Jewel 2026, set for November 7 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Layfield noted the U.S. Department of State's level three travel advisory for the region, suggesting WWE will consult on its implications for safety. Despite the advisory, Layfield defended the safety of Riyadh compared to Memphis, emphasizing WWE's commitment to performer safety. Although WWE plans to proceed with the event, the situation remains fluid as said by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio. Should the event be postponed, WWE's contract with Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund would be extended, and a WrestleMania is also set for Riyadh in the future.
