"Joe Rogan | Jeff Bottari, Zuffa LLC Joe Rogan’s reign as one of the kings of the podcast world isn’t ending anytime soon. On Thursday, The Wall Street Journal reported that Rogan is staying with Spotify to the tune of a multi-year contract extension worth $250 million. That’s the same number Rogan previously signed for to continue his relationship with the streaming service in 2024. Rogan, 59, initially signed with Spotify on an exclusive deal in 2020 before expanding distribution with his 2024 extension. This latest deal still allows for Rogan’s popular The Joe Rogan Experience podcast to air on Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, and YouTube, in edition to other streaming services. The Joe Rogan Experience, which began in 2009, has served as Rogan’s personal and professional platform to broadcast his irreverent brand of comedy, and frequently features guests from the world of entertainment, politics, science, and MMA. Rogan rose to prominence as a comedian and actor, and also cultivated a huge fan base as a color commentator for the UFC during its rise to mainstream recognition in the 2000s. He remains part of the UFC cageside commentary team, though his appearances are typically limited to a handful of numbered events every year. Rogan has come under criticism for spreading conspiracy theories and false news stories with little fact checking, but his show remains one of the most widely listened to podcasts in the world.
