Jokic confirms desire to stay with Nuggets, delays contract extension

Nikola Jokic stated his intent to spend his entire career with the Denver Nuggets during a press conference in Belgrade, Serbia. Following a FIBA World Cup qualifying game where he recorded 20 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds, Jokic revealed plans to wait until next summer to sign a supermax contract extension, potentially worth around $350 million. The 31-year-old center noted his commitment to the Nuggets despite their early playoff exit last season. Jokic's future with the team also involves discussions regarding fellow player Peyton Watson, who is due for a new contract.
