Jordyn Adams has enrolled at Southern Methodist University with plans to join the football team for the 2026 season. Adams, who was a top-100 recruit in the 2018 class, opted for a professional baseball career after being drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in 2018. The 26-year-old played in the major leagues with the Angels in 2023 and 2025 and has also appeared in five games with the Baltimore Orioles. The former blue-chip recruit will now pursue his football career as SMU aims to compete for a title this fall.
