Julian Alvarez starts Atletico Madrid training amid Barcelona interest
Summary

Julian Alvarez has begun training under Atletico Madrid despite ongoing speculation about his future with FC Barcelona. The Argentine striker reestablished contact with Atletico and is following a fitness program while on vacation. Relations between Barcelona and Atletico have soured, leading to an official complaint as Atletico CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin confirmed the club will not negotiate with Barcelona. Alvarez could remain at Atletico or hope for an overseas offer, with a move to Barcelona now seemingly blocked. He is expected to report back to Atletico's training ground on August 10.
