Kahleah Copper scores 31 as Mercury rally past Wings 87-86

Kahleah Copper scored 16 of her 31 points in the fourth quarter to help the Phoenix Mercury overcome a deficit and defeat the Dallas Wings 87-86 on September 21. The Mercury trailed 74-63 early in the final quarter but secured a crucial jump ball with 13.3 seconds remaining after an overturned foul call. Alyssa Thomas assisted Copper's go-ahead layup with 2.4 seconds left. The Wings had a six-game winning streak snapped and led by as many as 14 points during the game. Dallas guard Paige Bueckers had a standout performance with 30 points, setting a franchise record for points in a season with 853.
