Kalvin Phillips set to return to Sheffield United on loan for 2026-27

Summary

Kalvin Phillips is reportedly on the verge of joining Sheffield United on loan for the 2026-27 season. This move would mark his second consecutive loan at Bramall Lane after a previous stint was cut short by injury. Having struggled to secure first-team appearances at Manchester City since his transfer from Leeds United in 2022, the loan offers Phillips a chance to regain match fitness and form. City is restructuring its midfield options, making the loan favorable for both Phillips and the club. The midfielder aims to utilize this season in the Championship to revive his career and market value.
