Kentucky enters recruiting competition for class of 2027 prospect AJ Williams

The University of Kentucky offered a scholarship to 5-star small forward AJ Williams on Tuesday. Williams, who plays for Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy in Georgia, reclassified from the class of 2028 to the class of 2027 in August. BYU and Duke are also competing for his commitment as he enters his senior season. The forward recorded an average of 20.9 points and 8.1 rebounds per game on the EYBL circuit with Team CP3. Additionally, he earned a gold medal with the U17 USA team at the FIBA World Cup, where he averaged 14.0 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. A formal decision from the recruit is expected in the near future.
