Kerala's snake boat racers prepare for Nehru Trophy amid challenges

This weekend, around 20 snake boats with approximately 100 rowers each will compete in the Nehru Trophy held at Punnamada Lake in Kainakary, India. Despite recent deadly floods that impacted the region, the United Boat Club (UBC) continues rigorous training, boasting a roster of over 150 rowers. The UBC, which has won the trophy 12 times since 1963, aims for a 13th victory with their boat 'Veeyapuram,' which previously won the competition.
