Kevin Costner will join the broadcast of next week's MLB Field of Dreams Game at the Dyersville, Iowa site, as confirmed by Netflix's VP of sports, Gabe Spitzer. The role Costner will play in the telecast remains unspecified, though he participated in the inaugural game in 2021. During that event, he famously emerged from a cornfield, linking his appearance to the film. Netflix plans to offer a different presentation style compared to its previous live MLB broadcasts. With this being Netflix's third MLB live event this year, how they incorporate Costner will be evaluated during the game between the Phillies and Twins next week.
