Khamzat Chimaev removes Caio Borralho and Dricus Du Plessis from potential opponents

Khamzat Chimaev reports that the UFC informed him both Caio Borralho and Dricus Du Plessis are currently injured, removing them from consideration for his next bout. Chimaev expressed a desire to return to the cage as soon as possible, initially targeting a return in October. While he previously included Sean Strickland, Nassourdine Imavov, Dricus Du Plessis, and Caio Borralho on his shortlist, the current injury status of two of those fighters has narrowed his options. Chimaev stated he remains ready to step in should the expected middleweight title matchup between Strickland and Imavov fail to materialize. Despite previous speculation regarding a potential weight class change, Chimaev reiterated his commitment to remaining in the middleweight division at 185 pounds.
