King Green alleges performance enhancing drug use among UFC champions

King Green asserted that numerous UFC fighters, including some titleholders, continue to utilize banned substances to gain a competitive advantage. In an appearance on a broadcast with Arnold Barboza, Green stated that his 2022 bout against Islam Makhachev felt physically different from other matchups, comparing the sensation of grappling with him to the experience of facing athletes using performance-enhancing drugs. Green claimed that top-tier competitors possess the financial resources and technical knowledge required to conceal potential doping violations. The veteran fighter, currently on a four-fight winning streak, is scheduled to face Esteban Ribovics at UFC 332 on Oct. 3 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. His comments follow his previous first-round loss to Makhachev, a fight Green accepted on less than two weeks' notice as a replacement for Beneil Dariush.
