Kisiang'ani places second, Coyotes finish fifth at UIW Invitational

College SportsMaureen Kisiang'ani finished second overall, leading the Weatherford College women's cross country team to a fifth-place finish at the University of the Incarnate Word Invitational in Windcrest, Texas, on Saturday. Kisiang'ani completed the 5K race in 17:16.0, just behind Meryeme Mai of UTSA. The Coyotes scored 120 points, averaging 18:23 per runner, outperforming several NCAA Division I and II programs. Freshman Andile Manzi took 15th with a time of 18:07.3, followed by Refilwe Ramokopu and Simphiwe Mohlahla. The team will compete next at the Cameron Invitational on September 25 in Lawton, Oklahoma.
