Kyle Shanahan denies Robert Saleh a key assistant for Titans job

When Robert Saleh departed from the San Francisco 49ers for the Tennessee Titans' head coaching position this January, Kyle Shanahan prevented him from hiring K.J. Wright, the 49ers' defensive quality control coach. Saleh acknowledged that Wright was 'off limits' as Shanahan aims to promote him in the future. Wright, who could follow a similar trajectory to DeMeco Ryans, expressed his focus on excelling in his current role rather than projecting future aspirations. Shanahan's decision ensures Wright continues developing with the 49ers as Saleh begins his tenure with the Titans.
